Instructions to operate Nagesh's DAQ program in PC-1
               (December 14, 2004)



1.Boot the PC (if needed) using a boot floppy disk.

2.Login  using ino as the username and the password.

3.To start a new run:
  a)Type ./RunInoDaq at the Linux prompt.
  b)Enter event data filename (Format: rpc<run number>.eve).
  c)Enter monitor data filename (Format: rpc<run number>.mon).
  d)Press any key for menu.
  e)Choose the following options from the menu.
      i.Initialize CAMAC crate
     ii.Enable data recording
    iii.Enable event interrupts
     iv.Quit from menu
  f)Data will not be recorded until you quit from the menu.

4.To display event and monitor data:
  a)Select another desktop using CTRL+ALT+F1 ... F6.
  b)Type ./EveMonDisp at the Linux prompt.
  c)Enter the event and monitor data filenames.
  d)From the displayed menu, choose the desired option.
  e)Quit from the menu.
  f)Data will not be displayed until you quit from the menu.

5.To stop event event/monitor data display;
  a)Goto the desktop where ./EveMonDisp is running.
  b)Press any key for menu.
  c)Choose Exit display program option.

6.To stop the run:
  a)Goto the desktop where ./RunInoDaq is running.
  b)Press any key for menu.
  c)From the Menu, Choose Stop the run option.
